CUT CHRISTMAS TREES
The trees are grown on ‘The Christmas Tree Farm’ on the Mornington Peninsula. They grow the famous Monterey Pine named after its place of origin, the Monterey Peninsula of California, which is perfectly suited to the Australian climate. Its fragrance, attractive shape, abundant foliage and minimum needle drop make it the perfect Christmas Tree. By choosing one of our trees you will not be disappointed by crooked trunks, uneven shapes or bare patches. The trees are hand pruned twice a year and the trees can be up to 5 years old. We have been bringing them up from Victoria for 13 years and find the trip does not adversely bother the trees. When they arrive, we quickly trim off the bottoms and place them straight into water. This ensures the pores that take up water are not clogged with sap. The trees should have a bit more taken off just before they are put into the stand in your house.
STANDS
These neat and attractive stands are recommended as our trees are so full and heavy they require proper support. Adjustable bolts make it easy to erect the trees and a built-in water reservoir keeps them looking fresher for longer. Made from dark green durable plastic that will last a lifetime, they have a wide base to keep the tree stable and a rim to collect water spills. They come in range of sizes to suit the different size trees. For those people who still have a metal stand that we used to supply, we offer an attractive trade in deal on one of our newer stands. We really feel the newer stands are safer and more practical.
